A great experience,
I was visiting London for a day and decided to see what London has to offer for sushi. To my surprise I found this place. Despite the negative reviews on yelp the only negative to the actual experience was the other customers beside us that were a little loud.
The pricing was cheap, and the rolls were tight (though they could have been a bit tastier) ! We got a bonus of salad and soup with our order I don't know if thats normal but it was quite good!! The service was great, and our food got to us in less then 15 minutes.
All in all I would recommend this place to anyone visiting London. Its cute and has a nice atmosphere though a more modern look then traditional. -

Always accommodating and the prices are fair. I really like this place. I get take out and it's super fast.

Best bento boxes! The service, the taste and the ambiance are unique. The lunch portions are perfect and my favorite part, the chocolate cheesecake is THE BEST I'VE EVER HAD

We love this sushi destination. It is quiet, clean, and relaxing. Get a booth if you can! So cozy! My husband usually gets the bulgogi bento box and loves it every time. I like to start with edamame or maybe the fried crab and then move on to dynamite roll or eel. Yum! We are usually stuffed when we leave, often rolling out rather than walking!
As with some smaller restaurants, they usually have one waitress on and when it gets busy, she gets busy. Waitresses are very attentive with drinks, miso soup, and appetizers so be patient if there is a crowd. -

We were looking for a place for sushi around pond mills and decided to give Ichiban Sushi House a shot. My motto is "never try, never know." So in we went!
Decor was alright, typical of any sushi restaurant. We were seated in the booth, which there was 3 and another room for private guests I believe. We decided to keep it simple and ordered a medium sized sushi boat and 4 pieces of uni (sea urchin).
We should have known from the lack of customers on a Saturday night that this was not going to be the best sushi... The uni was pretty bad to say the least, it was a gooey texture which happens when it looses its freshness, the taste was unpleasant as well. It was like the smell of a harbour in our mouths.
Moving on to the sushi and maki. The sushi was pretty small, about sushi buffet style sizes. The fish didn't taste fresh, the tuna belly especially. When you get a fishy ocean taste, that's when you can tell it is not fresh. I used to work in a sushi restaurant myself so I knew what to expect of fresh and old fish. The maki was small and nothing special.
On a positive note the staff were honestly kind and attentive, its just a shame the food didn't represent their quality of service.
